Starting with the basics… February 9, 2009

Hi there!  This would be my first post here with plt and I’m pretty excited about it.  After scrambling around for a week trying to decide what I would write about first I settled on going in with the basics.

Now, in my opinion starting with a good top is key when putting together something on a budget.  For me I went to the ever popular Armidi and grabbed one of their v-neck style paris tees.  The reason I love this as a basic item is because the textures are really nice, it has some fantastic details like the worn print on the front and the notch on either side of the bottom hem.

The other thing that is always good to find is shoes that don’t break the bank.  It was so much harder to find that i thought it would be but, again, Armidi saved the day with some incredible basic canvas shoes in a lot of colors for the jaw dropping price of $195L.  Yep, they are even my new favorite non-boot shoes.

As for everything else, they are just great deals I found at the moment.  KIN’s hair sale produced the cool brown to red do I’ve got on and a.C Store has those freaking amazing scripted Adventure Jeans for only $50L to their group members.  WOW!  Naima’s cool Naimatrix Shades are free, which is just hella cool considering how well they’re made.

Adventure Jeans by a.C. Store $50L
Mairi Hair by KIN $100L
Emo Love Leg-tie by BROGEAR $95L
Improve necklace by BROGEAR $70L
White Paris Tee by Armidi ltd. $125L
Canvas Shoes by Armidi ltd. $195
Naimatrix sunglasses by Naima $1
Snake Charmer Bracelets by Gritty Kitty $75L

Grand Total:   $711L

I think thats it for this post!  Thanks everyone.  :)

Silly, geeky, cute February 2, 2009

A few weeks ago I stumbled upon a cute, and relatively new, hair store at Dogtown called ::Inorite::.  Really cute quirky hair.  Today until Valentine’s all red and pink styles are half off.  Leaving the price to be at, or a little above, $50L.  Violet also gave out a cutesy cupcake hair as a group freebie through her SOM.

The eyes I’m wearing throughout this post are a freebie from Geo Shapes. I met the owner last night and he is super nice.  There are also three 90min camp chairs at his store that offer a copy/no mod female shape.  Rylan and I were drooling over the guy shapes and became instant fans of the girl ones.

The oh-so-cute glasses I’m wearing are from Spoon! I went there in search of a raincoat and found several really cute things.  As far as I could tell everything is $69L. There is also a freebie shirt setting out that my inner 10 year old totally loves.

The jeans I’m wearing are from *Fishy Strawberry*. The color and detail on them is fantastic, one of the most realistic pair of jeans I’ve seen.  At $125L they’re a good add to your inventory.

As if my collection of hair wasn’t hogging up enough of my inventory, my collection of dresses isn’t far behind.  This is also from Fishy Strawberry and also $125L.

On my way out I caught these leggings, part of a Valentine’s freebie set out as well as a cute heart shirt.

All poses are from Long Awkward Pose
