Relay For Life: Shop and Donate! March 17, 2009

So this was my first year getting a press pass to the Relay for Life 2009 Clothing Fair.  I was incredibly excited and then RL interfered so it was late late late on the press day before I could enter.  Everything was really well done and put together but with nine sims to go through I had my work cut out for me.  Now not all of these are entirely inexpensive but hey, I figure if you’re ever going to spend a little cash this is the place to do it.   I picked out my favorites from all the sims though I am sure I missed some.

Ripped released an awesome raider/pirate sort of outfit that has some awesome details.  Prim sleeves, a head tie with skulls, ratty pants…the textures are awesome and at only 300L for the whole thing, it’s awesome!   ( SIM 1 )

Moonshine went nuts and made a pack of men’s gifts (and one for women too) just for the RFL event.  Thanks Moonshine! Their men’s event item is rather nice too.  Suspenders!   ( SIM 1 )

Primative Design did a really cool hoodie that I believe is an exclusive.  150L for 6 colors?  Holy cow!  Make sure you pick it up, it’s really great looking and such a steal.    ( SIM 1 )

INDI had me singing, you have to check out their ‘Jack’ outfit exclusive.  It’s a great classy pirate mix that looks fantastic and totally sexy.  Their ladies pack is just as amazing, too.  The textures are just slaying me dead here.  You absolutely have to check that one out and at only 300L you’ll kick yourself if you don’t get it.    ( SIM 2 )

Black Canary is a shop I’ve never seen before and their exclusive is a really cool tricorn hat with feathers.  It’s a great item for 200L and their other clothes are just awesome so do check it out. They have a tomboyish girl’s pirate costume that the tricorn hat goes to but I think a slender guy could pull it off no problem.  ( SIM 6 )

M’Lady Designs is another I’ve never heard of…Oh wow, sexy sexy, pirate god outfit, rawwrrr, I so couldn’t pull it off but it looks amazing.  Great textures!  Pricy at 750L but worth it.  ( SIM 6 )

Barefoot Apparel has some great stuff for men only.  If you want some unique and sexy looks for summer & swimming this is the place to go.  I grabbed one of their exclusive briefs!  ( SIM 6 )

Dark Depressions posted a shirt for men that says ‘Real Men like Breasts Too’ which got a bit of a laugh from me.  Kenzie, Ry, take care of your breasts, I like them.   ( SIM 8 )

The ever amazing SilentSparrow shop released exclusive colors to their Valerian outfit.  A really rich green and gorgeous rose, only 500L which may be a little much but hey, with a look that layered and detailed it’s priced perfect.    ( SIM 7 )

Sprawl’s Buccaneer coat, soooo freaking cool.  250L for the coat andjeans?  Come on now, total no brainer, considering the quality.  There is even a heart on the back pocket which was such a fun little surprise when I finally did take the coat off…  ( SIM 4 )

Aitui presented some exclusive shirts and a bag, both were way too cool.  Two shirts in both the men’s and woman’s pack, a very cool cancer/canceled shirt and a skull and crossbones one that is excellent.  The bag is unisex so don’t hesitate to pick it up!  ( SIM 2 )

LaPointe & Bastchild offered one of their outfits at a lower cost for RFL which is perfect because it looks amazing.  I can’t wait to find an event to wear it to.  ( SIM 3 )

Demise did a cool button up checkered shirt, the checker pattern is really light as you can see, never seen anything like it and its exclusive so grab it while you can.  ( SIM 7 )

Fantasia released the ‘gunner’ outfit that appears to be exclusive and looks great! It’s fun and has a bit of a Final Fantasy look to it.  ( SIM 7 )

Marinesta is new to me so I was thrilled to get a chance to see their work.  I love some of the stuff they have.  The release for RFL is really cool, too!  ( SIM 7 )

Whimsey posted one of their shirts that I love.  I had to get it to declare my nerdity.  ;)   ( SIM 4 )

Weirdness: Ok, Sn@tch’s designer has a great sense of humor; they put a ‘drama llama’ on sale that has an animation when you ride it.  The animation is totally fun and a bit lewd.  Only 50L though so you haaaave to get it.  It’s going in my lawn!  ( SIM 2 )

Favorites: Ripped, INDI and Sprawl get the awards for coolest offerings as far as exclusives go.  Moonshine for the cool freebies pack.  ;)

Thank you to all of the participating designers who put so much work into the event and to those of you who sponsored the sims…The set up was amazing and the sheer amount of hard work was mind blowing.  Make sure to take a look through each sim!
